Serving our community since 1994.

Te Ahi Kaa is an incorporated society and registered charity with more than 30 years of experience working alongside individuals, whānau, community organisations and people from many different walks of life.

We have built our reputation through relationships, reliability and practical support. We understand that trust is earned by turning up, treating people with respect, keeping information confidential and doing what we say we will do.

Coromandel Home and Property Support brings those same values to the care of homes, holiday properties and rural properties throughout Coromandel and surrounding communities.

What you can expect

  • Confidential handlingKeys, access codes, alarm details and personal information are handled carefully and only as needed.
  • Clear records and updatesVisits follow an agreed checklist, with useful photographs and a short report sent to you.
  • Honest service boundariesOur checks are general visual checks. Specialist or regulated work stays with appropriately qualified providers.

Clear service boundaries: We provide property checks, coordination and ordinary household errands. We do not provide personal care, medication management, passenger transport or regulated building work. Qualified providers are used where specialist or regulated work is required.

What do I receive after a property check?+

A clear visit summary with useful photos and any visible concerns noted. The exact checklist is agreed with you before the first visit.

Can you let a tradesperson into my property?+

Yes, access can be arranged for a provider you have approved. We can coordinate timing and report that the visit took place, but regulated work stays with the suitably qualified provider.

What happens after a storm?+

Where roads and the property are safe to access, we can carry out a visual post-storm check, take photos and alert you to visible issues. This is not an emergency or structural inspection service.

Can every visit use my own checklist?+

Absolutely. Your agreed checklist can cover the areas and systems most important to your property, including mail, security, tanks, pumps and exterior observations.

How are keys and access handled?+

Access arrangements are agreed privately before the first visit. Key handling, alarm instructions and authorised contacts are documented only as needed for the service.
